Exxon Mobil is rolling out the Tesco Clubcard loyalty scheme to its wider network following its introduction on the sites run jointly with the supermarket group in February.
A spokesman confirmed they would be available through company-owned sites and through dealers, although some dealers had opted not to offer them, and the final number of sites involved had not been finalised. POS advertising the introduction began to appear on the first Esso forecourts at the end of last week.
There are 198 Esso-Tesco Alliance service stations in the UK, featuring a Tesco-branded shop and Esso-branded forecourt and fuel.
These sites began offering Clubcard points in February and at that time Simon Herbert, director, Esso Petroleum Company, said: “Over the coming months we intend to explore opportunities to extend this offer to our wider Esso service station network.
