Ginsters has announced its Christmas 2012 line-up. This comprises two special edition sandwiches: the Christmas cracker and cranberry, Wensleydale & bacon; plus a special edition turkey, bacon & cranberry pasty.
They will be available nationally from next month. The sandwiches have rrps of £3.49 and £2.99 respectively, while the pasty has a rrp of £1.99.
The festive pasty will replace the special edition beef Madras line, which launched last month.
The Christmas Cracker sandwich comprises a combination of turkey and Cumberland sausage with sage & onion stuffing and red onion cranberry chutney, all on oatmeal bread. The sandwich has been brought back after becoming Ginsters’ most successful special edition in 2011, achieving record sales.
Meanwhile, the cranberry, Wensleydale & bacon sandwich is a deep fill which includes sweet cure smoked bacon and seasoned mayonnaise. The turkey, bacon & cranberry pasty is made with British turkey, smoked bacon, cranberries, potato and onion, all in a creamy sauce wrapped in light puff pastry.
