The Thorntons Easter range includes three new luxury eggs White Chocolate & Raspberry, Milk Chocolate Almond & Hazelnut and Dark Chocolate & Orange. All feature strong colours and a premium look designed to appeal to younger, more affluent shoppers.

Meanwhile, Ferrero Rocher’s 212.5g and 275g eggs saw sales increase by 70% year-on-year in 2018 and both will receive a makeover for this Easter which will highlight the quality of the products and also give them better standout on shelf.

In the Kinder range, two new 220g Surprise eggs are being launched following the success of the 100g Surprises in 2018. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Powerpuff Girls products will feature bigger toys.

In the chocolate figures category, there is a new Ferrero Rocher squirrel and new bunnies from Thorntons.

For Mother’s Day, Ferrero Collection will have one ribbon pack and one "Just for you" sleeve pack. And for Valentine’s Day the Ferrero heart returns.

Ferrero is investing £3.7m across its brands for the spring occasions including TV, video-on-demand, sampling and in-store activation.
