Nestlé Confectionery’s flagship brand KitKat is to kick off 2019 with an on-pack promotion giving consumers the chance to win a special break.
Ten holidays worth up £8,000 to destinations such as Miami, Cuba, Thailand and Barbados, will be available to be won instantly by purchasing a promotional pack of KitKat and finding a Lucky Winning Bar and winning ticket inside.
In addition, there are 100 getaway goodies to be won every day during the promotional period with prizes including KitKat branded passport covers, sun visors, beach towels and luggage straps.
Promotional packs will be available across the market from this month with formats featured including consumer favourites KitKat 4 Finger, KitKat Chunky, KitKat 2 Finger and KitKat Bites.
The winning chocolate bar will feature the name of the dream holiday destination written on it in white chocolate. The 100 Getaway Goodies can be won every day by entering online the unique promotional code found inside packs to discover instantly if they are a winner.
A new media campaign will launch on 4 February to support the ‘Make a Break For It’ activity, and will include six-sheet posters, social and digital media. The social media will create excitement around the promotion, as it challenges consumers to join the hunt to find the winning packs.
The KitKat brand will also launch its new KitKat TV advertising on 21 January as part of a £4.5m media campaign, with a specific ‘Make A Break for It’ tag featuring across February.
