Big Bear Confectionery has announced its official sponsorship of the Leicester Tigers Premiership rugby team for the 2018/19 season.

The company announced the partnership on Sunday 21 January at the Champions Cup game between the Tigers and French rugby union club Racing 92.

It continues a partnership with the Tigers which began in 2015 which saw a link up with Big Bear’s XXX Mints brand.

Big Bear’s heritage as a sweet-making specialist dates back to the founding of Fox’s Confectionery in Leicester in 1880, and Fox’s Glaciers is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

As part of the partnership, Fox’s Glaciers will feature on warm up bibs and the training kit and will be sampling products at matches throughout the season.

Andrew Ovens, marketing manager at Big Bear Confectionery said: “Big Bear is proud of its Leicester roots, the company and the Tigers go back a long way which is why it seemed fitting to support the club as part of Fox’s 100th anniversary celebrations.

“We are looking forward to supporting the Tigers and to engage with fans through competitions and special promotions. This year is set to be a great year for Fox’s and for the Tigers.”
