Fox’s Glacier, which this year celebrates its 100th anniversary, has decided to continue selling its Glacier Tropical, saying it is bowing to retailer demand to extend the run of the limited edition brand.
Owned by confectionery giant Big Bear Confectionery, the brand typically rolls out a fresh limited edition range twice a year and was due to start production of a new Fruit & Spice edition in October. However, it says that after being inundated with demand from independents and discount stores, production will continue.
Andrew Ovens, marketing manager at Big Bear Confectionery, said: “We always like to listen to what our consumers tell us and with October seeing some of the hottest temperatures in over 100 years, it seems demand for the lovely punchy exotic flavours has continued beyond our expectation.”
Fox’s Glacier Tropical (200g pack RRP £1.00) contains three flavours associated with the Tropics: pineapple, mango & passionfruit and coconut.
