f you sell newspapers supplied by John Menzies and are trying to keep manual track of sales and returns you have probably noticed that the handy diary and sales control annual is no longer available from them.

Richard Webb, who runs Abbeygate Garage in Norfolk says Menzies has been helpful, sending him photocopies of each sheet but obviously this is a ‘loose’ arrangement. He didn’t want to overload his computer system and wondered where he could get a similar book, minus the diary.

I spoke to Stefan Wojciechowski, head of news and magazines for the National Federation of Retail Newsagents who said this confirmed reports he had had back from Federation field staff.
