BP is claiming a ’first’ with its newly launched digital marketing platform for its forecourt stores.
The company says the new service – called ‘Today’s Offers’ www.bp.co.uk/offers – is the first step in using a digital platform to deliver exclusive internet-only deals to supplement the in-store offers and promotions.
In partnership with Rockpool Digital, BP has created a digital platform that enables consumers to discover relevant offers either by a shop’s location, or by offer category – Thirsty, Hungry, Entertain Me and My Car. They can then print out the offer codes, email or text them to use later or view and present them on their phone in-store.
The offer codes are then simply redeemed at any of the 350 company-owned participating stores across the UK. The website has a store locator which enables customers to find the closest participating stores and to see all the offers at that site.
David Pitron, BP’s UK trading director, said: “The UK convenience market is changing rapidly and so are the expectations and habits of our customers. We want to make life easier for our customers and to offer them great value and even more compelling reasons to visit our stores. The digital platform we have created with our partners at Rockpool provides our customers with a great new way to save money.”
Today’s Offers launches with exclusive offers from many of BP Retail’s Strategic Partners: Coca Cola, Carlsberg, Danone, Mars, Red Bull, United Biscuits, Walkers and leading entertainment suppliers. Initial offers include Save £3 on all CDs, DVDs and games including all new release titles, and buy a carwash and get a £4.99 screen wash free.
