BP has followed up its recent contract to supply more than 130 MFG sites by signing new deals with two more independent retailers.
In Llanelli, a previously Esso-branded service station has been converted to BP with a signicant shop and forecourt revamp. The site, in Capel Isaf Road, is owned by Nalliah Thayaparan. Thaya has also taken ownership of the Beacon Service Station in Richmond from BP.
Terry Matthews, BP’s Fuel Value Chain’s business development manager, said: “I am extremely pleased that Thaya decided to partner with BP. He is dedicated to providing a strong forecourt and shop offer coupled with a great local service in each of his BP branded sites.

Thaya said: “I am delighted to offer my customers in Llanelli the high quality BP fuels alongside the great convenience offer from Costcutter. My aim is establish my site as a convenience store for the local community.”
In addition, BP dealer Farooq Mohammed has re-signed his Oxford site with BP in a seven-year deal
Farooq has owned and operated Summit Service Station in Stadhampton for the past seven years, and has made a significant financial investment carrying out a complete re-build of the site, including a new forecourt and shop, two jet washes, parking for approximately 16 cars and better accessibility as well as LED lighting. He has also taken on 12 staff to meet demand from the revamped shop with his new partnership with Budgens.
He said: “I am delighted to offer my customers the full range of high quality BP fuels along with a comprehensive range of quality convenience goods and services. The significant development shows my commitment to providing a truly leading forecourt and convenience facility for the local community.
