Sandwich chain Subway’s new ‘Fresh Forward 2.0’ restaurant design has made its debut within EG On The Move’s portfolio, with the firm introducing the revised layout at its Moston Services site in Chester.
The initiative was announced in late 2024 and follows Subway’s first Fresh Forward redesign, which was launched in 2017 and has been adopted by over 20,000 outlets since then.
The 2.0 version comprises “added brand personality and vibrant décor elements, including bold wall graphics, localised messages and signage, elevated lighting, and warmer wood tones”, according to the firm.

The initial FF ethos was described as “more than just a remodel”, with 2.0 being “an exciting evolution of the design”. The setup also allows for better integration of self-serve kiosks and order-ready screens.
José Salazar, Subway brand manager for EG On The Move, says adopting Fresh Forward 2.0 marks “an exciting milestone” that brings “a modern new look and an enhanced guest experience” to the concesion.
