Exxon Mobil has introduced Tesco Clubcard points on fuel at the Esso sites it runs jointly with the supermarket group, and is looking to roll out the loyalty scheme to its wider service station network, including dealer owned sites.
There are 198 Esso-Tesco Alliance service stations in the UK, featuring a Tesco-branded shop and Esso-branded forecourt and fuel. Customers will earn Clubcard points on their fuel purchases, and the points will be added by Tesco to their Clubcard account.
Customers will receive 1 point for every £3 spent on Esso petrol and diesel and will continue to earn 1 point per £1 qualifying spend in the shop.
Simon Herbert, director, Esso Petroleum Company, said: “We know our customers appreciate the quality of Esso fuels, and we want to reward that loyalty.
“Clubcard points are available from today at all Esso-Tesco Alliance service stations, and over the coming months we intend to explore opportunities to extend this offer to our wider Esso service station network, and will contact our dealers accordingly at the appropriate time.”
