MRH (GB) has announced the appointment of Karen Dickens as chief executive officer of the company with effect from the 1st of March 2016.
Karen has previously held a number of senior managerial positions within ExxonMobil Corporation, both in the UK and abroad, in a career spanning 29 years; her most recent role being global fuels program eecutive.
Graham Peacock, the current chief executive officer and a founder shareholder of MRH, will step down from the role on the 29th of February 2016 after a 48-year career in the fuel retailing industry.
The appointment follows the takeover of MRH – which is number one in the Forecourt Trader Top 50 Indies – by US private equity firm Lone Star last month.
Commenting on the appointment of Karen to succeed him, Graham said: “I am delighted to be handing over my responsibilities to someone of the calibre of Karen, who brings to the MRH business a wealth of industry experience at the highest levels. Her appointment is a real statement of intent by Lone Star that the company is to continue its programme of dynamic growth in the future.”
