Londis UK is investing in its first above the line national media campaign to drive more shoppers into stores over Christmas and New Year.

The campaign launches on 27 November and will run across national newspapers and radio, to support direct marketing and in-store promotions.

John Pattison, Londis retail director, commented: “This is our biggest campaign ever and part of our commitment to drive shoppers into Londis stores over the festive season. We know that more and more people are choosing to shop local and we have the deals and promotions to meet that demand. This campaign will put us in front of millions of customers and underlines that we are serious about competing on the high street.”

The campaign theme is ‘Stacks of Seasonal Offers’ and will promote seasonal ranges and everyday Christmas essentials. It includes confectionary and party food through to beers, wines and spirits. A specially created festive package of leaflets and point of sale kits will be distributed to retailers.

The full marketing campaign runs for six weeks from 27 November and promotes ‘Hero Deals’ and key ‘Top Up shop’ offers. Londis has also put in place wholesale offers, IT support teams and supply chain reassurance, to make it easier for retailers throughout the festive season.
