Top 50 Indie Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has been ranked sixth in a league table of Britain’s 100 private companies with the biggest sales in the 17th annual Sunday Times HSBC Top Track 100. Companies are ranked by sales as reported in their latest available accounts.

Top 50 Indie Applegreen UK, which has more than 100 sites in the UK, has joined BOSS, the British Oil Security Syndicate. Adrian Grimes, head of UK operations at Applegreen, said Payment Watch offered a ’customer-friendly, yet robust’ means of helping customers who have no means of payment for fuel.
bp app connects to fuel cards
BP claims it has won the race to introduce the first mobile fuel purchasing app in the UK that connects to fuel cards. BP Fuel Card customers are able to add fuel cards to BPme, making BPme available for fleets. Fuel card customers can now use BPme to make cashless purchases from their vehicle even if they don’t have their fuel card with them.

New forecasts from IGD, reveal that the UK convenience channel is set to add £7.1bn in the next five years to reach £47.2bn by 2023. The convenience channel will benefit from strong store growth over the period, helping to fuel the channel’s compound annual growth rate of 3.3% to 2023.
