Sewell on the go, which operates a dozen sites, has donated £10,000 to five organisations via Co-op Wholesale’s Making a Difference Locally charity.

The Hull-based Top 50 Indie has split its donation equally among organisations offering support to bereaved parents; those experiencing homelessness; underprivileged children; seafaring families undergoing crisis; and people impacted by brain injuries.

The firm’s managing director, Patrick Sewell, said: “We are a local family business, and community is at the heart of everything we do. We’re incredibly proud to support organisations making a real difference in the lives of people across Hull and East Yorkshire.”

The organisations receiving support for the firm are: Chasing Rainbows; Ladled with Love; Hull & East Yorkshire Children’s University; Sailors’ Children’s Society; and Paul 4 Brain Recovery.
