Shell’s EV charging station in West London is one fruit of the two firms’ relationship

Shell has confirmed it is continuing its partnership with design and engineering firm Artelia. The new contract will see the firms’ relationship span over 20 years.

The companies began working together in 2008, with this latest contract having been confirmed as lasting for more than three years.

The British-Dutch oil major and French construction and consultancy firm have worked together on a number of key projects, including Shell’s EV-only forecourt in Fulham, West London, and the installation of 400kW chargers for electric HGVs in Nottinghamshire.

Artelia says it has been awarded a “multi-year” engineering, procurement and construction management (EPCM) contract by Shell, with the deal focussing on “mobility and retail convenience”.

Shell’s head of mobility engineering UK, Venkatesh Shreedharan, says Artelia has “consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of our needs, a strong commitment to safety, and the willingness to collaborate in a dynamic environment”.

Artelia’s project director for the firm’s Shell team, Simon Case, says the deal demonstrates “the strength and resilience of our team, and the trusted relationship we’ve built with Shell”.
