Two of Ginsters’ special festive lines will support the Royal Voluntary Service (RVS) this year. The pasty firm will donate 10p to the RVS for every Festive Pasty and Festive Christmas Cracker sandwich sold. The company hopes that its donation will enable the charity to deliver over 6,000 Christmas meals and good wishes to lonely, older people in Britain.
The Festive Pasty is made with British turkey and smoked bacon with cranberries, potato and onion in a creamy sauce, wrapped in puff pastry. Rrp is £1.99. The Christmas Cracker is a classic mix of British turkey breast, Cumberland sausage, bacon and sage & onion stuffing together with cranberry and red onion chutney on oatmeal bread. Rrp is £3.49.
Also available is the new Festive Bar a blend of British pork sausage meat with British turkey, filled with a cranberry, onion and herb sauce, wrapped in breadcrumbs. Rrp is £1.69.
Then there’s the cranberry, Wensleydale & bacon sandwich, a previous British Sandwich Association Sandwich of the year finalist.
