Graze is widening the distribution of its healthier, portion-controlled sweet and savoury snacks so they are now available in 4,000 stores.

Within just 15 weeks of the initial retail launch, Graze snacks were rolled out into all Sainsbury’s 1,161 supermarkets, and WH Smith doubled the number of stores stocking them to 689. This was after the company’s Travel outlets reported more than 40% sales growth in their ‘healthier snacking’ category in the first four weeks of selling Graze snacks. Now they are available in Asda, Tesco, Waitrose and, for independents, via Nisa, Budgens, Costcutter and Londis.

Commenting on the first four months of retail sales, graze.com CEO, Anthony Fletcher, said: “The response to our ‘good to go’ range has been incredible, and the demand we’ve experienced from retailers and customers alike is bringing Graze one step closer to achieving our vision of becoming the number one healthier snacking brand in the UK.

“It is fantastic that Graze snacks are now outselling three leading chocolate bars in some stores. There’s definitely a huge appetite among UK consumers for healthier snacking options, and by plugging that void at the tills, Graze is proving that impulse buys and satisfying a craving don’t have to be bad for you.”

Ian Rankin, snacking senior buyer, impulse, at WH Smith Travel commented: “No other product launch in snacking and confectionery over the last three years has driven the same level of excitement and opportunity for store managers to get behind.”
