Imperial Tobacco is marking the 100th anniversary of its Lambert & Butler brand with a limited-edition pack next month.

The company says the limited edition design printed on the external rayophane of the Lambert & Butler silver range, commemorates Lambert & Butler’s longevity in the category as well as reflecting the brand’s personality through the addition of speech bubbles; leaving both the product and the pack underneath unchanged.

Imperial Tobacco’s Lambert & Butler brand manager Rebecca Cottee said: “At Imperial Tobacco innovation is vitally important and we aim to ensure our portfolio continues to evolve to accurately reflect the category dynamics.

“As one of the of most recognisable tobacco brands with over 100 years of heritage Lambert & Butler has remained both relevant and modern thanks to the significant investment Imperial Tobacco has put into developing this premium brand over the last three decades.

“L&B Blue was developed to suit the preferences of adult smokers who require a lower priced cigarette offering but want reassurance from a big brand. Since its launch L&B Blue has gone from strength to strength achieving a 1.4% market share in its first six months.”
