Walkers has launched its biggest ever on-pack lunch promotion, offering 1 in 6 shoppers the chance to win a free lunch on Walkers up to the value of £4.

The new lunch campaign will run until  July 11,2015, giving retailers the chance to boost lunchtime sales. Walkers has partnered with coupon and voucher services provider, Valassis, enabling consumers to redeem their free lunch in thousands of participating stores nationwide including forecourts.

Matt Goddard, field sales director at PepsiCo comments: “At Walkers we’re excited to launch our biggest ever lunch campaign which will help retailers maximise lunchtime sales. We urge retailers who are not yet involved in the campaign to sign up to avoid missing out on this huge opportunity, and will be launching a host of in store materials to support the promotion, including stackers and chiller baskets.”

Promotional packs of Walkers crisps will include a ‘1 in 6 wins a free lunch’ on pack flash and a unique 12 digit code . Consumers will then need to enter the code on the Walkers website - www.walkers.co.uk/lunch - or text 85101 (UK) or 50888 (ROI) to find out if they are one of the lucky 1 in 6 winners of a free lunch. Consumers can redeem their free lunch in a number of ways including coupons, the Walkers website or mobile phone app Shopitize. The £4 lunch can be redeemed against Walkers crisps plus any food item (plus a soft drink if you wish).

The new Walkers lunch campaign will be heavily supported by TV, digital and strong levels of in store shopper marketing including engaging POS materials.
