Premier Foods is hoping to deliver growth in the sweet treats segment of the £943m cake category with the introduction of two limited editions: treacle & custard slices and jam & custard slices, both in packets of six.

Tapping into consumer demand for teatime treats for all the family, treacle & custard slices consist of treacle-flavoured sponge slices, topped with custard flavour icing, while jam & custard has a pastry base with raspberry jam beneath a custard flavour sponge and custard flavour icing. Recommended retail price for both is £1.
