Top 50 Indie Applegreen has reinforced its environment credentials by switching to using a fully recyclable paper cup across its estate.
Applegreen is using the reCUP recyclable paper cup, which is made by cup manufacturer CupPrint.
The new recylable cups use EarthCoating, a fully recyclable lining engineered to be processed easily through traditional paper recycling equipment and to be recycled into new paper products.
Conor Lucey, head of operations at Applegreen, said: “At Applegreen we are extremely passionate about reducing our impact on the environment and we are delighted to be able to make the switch and play our part in reducing non-recyclable waste.”
Terry Fox, general manager of CupPrint, said: “We’ve been delighted to work with Applegreen on this project. At CupPrint we specialise in creating beautiful, branded paper cups for all operators, from smaller independents to large multi-site operators and now these cups can be fully recyclable too, which suits the environmental needs of many of our customers like Applegreen.”
