pro charger

Sync Energy’s new Pro Charger range is described as an “easy-to-install, easy-to-use solution” for commercial EV charging.

The company says every feature is geared towards simplifying installation while delivering superior performance to meet the growing demands of EV charging.

The range includes twin bollard EV chargers, with or without integrated lighting, as well as twin wall-mounted chargers. Both the wall-mounted and bollard options come with PEN (protective earth neutral) fault protection, touchscreen, RFID, 4G connectivity and an MID (Measurements Industry Directive) metre as standard.

The Pro Charger range is also designed to meet PAS 1899:2022 standards for disability-accessible charging.

The range offers an optional sensor-controlled amenity light on floor-mounted bollard versions, and a light-up infographics area to ensure that users can see and understand the charging interface, no matter the time of day or lighting conditions.

The range provides end-users with flexible payment options including contactless card payments with a payment terminal option, as well as Monta QR code charging and Monta in-app charging solutions.

The PEN fault protection eliminates the need for costly earth rods or other PEN fault devices upstream. The Loop in/Loop out input connections accommodate up to 35mm² cables, allowing installers to chain multiple EV chargers from a single supply cable, reducing installation time and costs while maintaining correct overcurrent protection for each chargepoint.

The Pro Charger can be used with other commercial Sync Energy products, such as the Sync Energy Balancer which enables installers to link up to 16 chargepoints dynamically to the building supply, so circuits are never overloaded.

The range comes with a five-year onsite warranty.
