Fafnir has launched a new visual demonstration tool to support its Vaporix product range.
Vaporix is the Fafnir product range that meets the requirements of the Stage II Vapour Recovery Directive.
Fafnir says it recognises that in markets where legislation is pending to meet the 2009/126/EC Directive of the European Parliament and Council for Stage II Vapour Recovery, operators may be unclear firstly on the need for vapour recovery monitoring and secondly how it would impact their current forecourt infrastructure.
Legislation states that all fuel dispensers must be fitted with a vapour recovery system and in turn, a vapour recovery monitoring system to ensure the recovery system is working effectively to prevent the release of vapours into the atmosphere for safety and environmental protection.
Fafnir says it wanted to make the process of understanding as simple as possible and therefore it has created a step by step visual tool to demonstrate the Vaporix solution.
The demonstration outlines the vapour recovery process, how Vaporix is retro-fittable onto varying brands of dispensers and explains the function of each component within the existing forecourt infrastructure.
