Roadchef has saved 70% on lighting costs at its Strensham motorway service area with MHA Lighting’s patented LED technology.
During a reburbishment, which saw Strensham rebrand as Texaco, MHA installed energy-efficient canopy lighting, replacing 250 watt Halides with 82 watt LED fittings to reduce CO2 emissions by 585 tonnes over the product lifetime, claims MHA managing director Tom Harrison. "The lights will also run for 60,000 hours maintenance free. This means the Strensham installation will last for 12 years, based on an average operation of 14 hours per day, seven days a week."
