Electronic point of sale specialist MHouse Business Solutions is integrating cash-handling products from Volumatic into its offer to retailers.

The Motherwell-based company – which works predominantly with the Scottish outlets of convenience chains such as Nisa, Spar, and Morrisons Daily but is expanding across the rest of the UK – has begun with Volumatic’s CountEasy TS, a touch screen money-counting machine, but plans to add its CounterCache Intelligent (CCi) product “in the near future”.

Volumatic markets the latter as a “money counter, cash deposit box and forgery detector, all in one unit” which allows cash, once accepted by the till operator, to never be touched again until it reaches the bank.

MHouse unveiled the integrated EPOS solution at its stand at the Spar Scotland trade show in Aviemore on September 26.

MHouse chief executive Faisal Sattar says: “Our partnership with Volumatic allows MHouse to offer our customers a method of streamlining their cash processes, which should, in turn, allow them to focus more on customer service.”

Volumatic’s customers include Tesco, the Co-op Food Group, Nisa, Spar, Morrisons, Subway, Odeon cinemas and Genting casinos.
