Balvin has developed the UK’s first refuelling by Vehicle Number Recognition (VNR) system priced at less than £5,000.
The service is designed for fleet operators and car hire companies which have their own refuelling depots. It works by the vehicle being detected and photographed when it arrives at the petrol pump.
The vehicle number or registration is then compared with the number in the database before the dispenser is released and the driver can access the fuel.
The Surrey-based manufacturer has also included options for the user to get mileage information, a PIN for extra security and for the licence number to be referred to database for verification. VNR is compatible with all Balvin dispensers, and can control up to four dispensers, two network cameras and two secondary cameras.
