Forecourt specialist P&C Ltd has achieved Oracle Gold Partner status, which allows it to supply products and services to the large estate of former Micros customers in the petrol and convenience market.

P&C is now able to assist customers with upgrades and new license sales for the Oracle Retail Convenience and Fuel EPOS and back office solutions, formerly known as Iridium and Prism OPT server, and can also offer customers hardware and software installations.

P&C is also able to offer hardware and software support for all versions of the Oracle Retail Convenience and Fuel EPOS and back office solutions.

Richard Quarmby, managing director of P&C, highlighted the importance of being able to add the supply and support of such a widely used system to the company’s catalogue of products and services.

He said: “We are extremely pleased to have achieved Oracle Gold Partner status. It’s a model that clearly works, as shown by Oracle’s success across so many different market verticals. This new partnership allows them to concentrate on delivering innovative solutions, while allowing their partners, like us, to deliver and maintain their products throughout the world.

“We have a strong customer portfolio, including well known industry names, such as Welcome Break, HKS Retail and the Park Garage Group, as well as many others. With a large proportion of our customer base using the Oracle Retail Convenience and Fuel EPOS and back office systems it made perfect sense to be able to offer them the support they need so that they can continue to use these solutions effectively in the future.”

As well as providing forecourt design and construction, P&C also offers strategic products and services. A major service that has grown over the past 12 months is the customer interactive facilities management system that is now used to control service calls at over 200 petrol forecourts across the UK.

Quarmby added: “We want to work in a proactive way with our customers and combining the additional services of our facilities management system with the support we offer for the Oracle Retail Convenience and Fuel EPOS and back office solutions means we can assist retailers in improving their site configuration and reducing their calls. We already have very experienced help desk analysts working for us, who have managed to assist customers with improving the daily management of their EPOS and back office solutions.

“These are exciting times for all of us at P&C and we believe that the knowledge and experience we bring to the Oracle Gold Partnership, and the advice we have started giving to many of their existing customers will help build trust for the future and give sustained life to these highly popular forecourt and convenience solutions.”
