Retailers are saving several thousands of pounds for every million litres of fuel sold by installing Gilbarco Veeder-Root pumps with Eco-Meter and automatic temperature compensation (ATC) technology, according to the findings of a recent study by the company.
In the study with a dealer customer, existing pumps with piston-based meters were closely monitored over an extended period against newer Gilbarco Veeder-Root dispensers with a combination of Eco-Meter and ATC. Across a number of sites, the combined annual savings delivered by the technology were between £6,000 and £7,000 per million litres sold.
