Tensile fabric technology has been used to create a light forecourt canopy for a petrol station in Ireland. The ’Gullwing’ canopy at a forecourt in Clonakilty in County Cork is made from heavy-duty PVC-coated polyester fabric elements that allow up to 16% light transference while cutting 100% of dangerous UV rays.

Constructed from factory-produced tubular steel components, a fabric forecourt canopy from ArcCan Shade Structures can be erected in two to three days. One column acts as a downpipe for rainwater drainage from the centre gutter unit, while the other columns carry electrical services for lights and sound systems.
