TLM Group Technology held the second in its series of retailer events, attended by convenience and fuel retailer groups of all sizes from one to hundreds of sites, as well as a representative from the PRA.
Taking place at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole, the event included an update from operations director Bob Laidlaw on the changes in the way retailers are provided support for the Oracle convenience and fuel systems, and how TLM is meeting their needs.
There was a business lunch and networking, and TLM demonstrated Lava, its head office solution for convenience and fuel groups, and displayed sample LED lights from TLM’s partner VLight.
PRA commercial manager Gordon Balmer said: "It was really good to see a supplier like TLM reaching out to retailers, and doing everything they can to clarify the recent confusion surrounding the support situation for retailers running Oracle systems. It was also great to meet their team and see their products and solutions in person.’
"We see communication with our customers as a top priority," explained Bob Laidlaw, "and it is at events like these where that happens. They can see first-hand who we are, what we can do, and how we can support their businesses.
"Since our Support Hub opened in April we have continued to grow, and we are proud to be supporting over 800 sites across the UK, with more signing up daily for support from TLM. We have a reputation for world-class customer service, and at these events retailers can meet for themselves members of the team that has earned us that reputation."
