Franklin Fueling Systems has enhanced the 662 Series Emergency Shut-off Valve to allow full compatibility with petrol, gas/alcohol blends, diesel and biodiesel.

This has been achieved in part through an e-coating process, widely used in the automotive industry, to electrostatically bond paint to a metal surface. Franklin Fueling Systems says e-coating has seven times the durability of conventional galvanised and/or zinc coatings.

An additional benefit from the upgrade is that Franklin Fueling Systems no longer needs to offer two different lines of product, one for petrol and another for biofuels. As a result, it says, fewer items are needed to achieve the same coverage of use while maintaining a reasonable and competitive overall product price.
