WashTec used this year’s Automechanika trade show in Frankfurt to showcase its latest car wash technology.
The company says its new SoftCare2 Pro now comes with the widest drive-in track on the market, at 2.05m, to accommodate today’s wider cars. It also has additional height up to 2.90m while the outer dimensions remain the same as the original SoftCare models.
Washtec says wheel washing is a frequent challenge for automatic car washes and new bigger wheel dimensions and styles demand new innovations. Its new WheelJet washer design covers the largest of wheels (21in) and its angled extension ensures that even the smallest of cars receives a thorough wheel cleanse.
WashTec also used the show to launch the new generation of its SofTecs foam brushes. These have an "increased fibre density and shape" for more effective washing and polishing when used with the company’s drying system.
Also new this year is the FlexStream rotating roof dryer and high-pressure beam.
