Officers from Northumbria Police have released an image of a man they would like to trace after a robbery at a service station.
The incident happened on Sunday, October 16 at 9.05pm when a man entered Boldon Lane Service Station.
He attempted to open the safe in the rear office but was unable to and he then threatened the cashier and took about £200 from the till.
The cashier was not physically injured but was left shaken by the incident.
An investigation was launched and police have already conducted CCTV inquiries and believe the offender travelled by bike from the direction of John Reid Road/Boldon Lane roundabout.
He then made off at speed down Boldon Lane past the ambulance station.
Enquiries remain ongoing, and on Wednesday October 26 police issued an image of a man they would like to speak to.
It is believed he was in the area at the time of the incident and could have information that would assist officers.
Anyone who knows him, or has any information is asked to contact Northumbria Police using the ‘Tell Us Something’ page on its website, quoting crime reference 122452F/22.
