West Mercia Police have put out an alert about a spate of drive-offs in the past week in Worcestershire.

On its Neighbourhood Matters web page, PC Dale Tomkins shared four incidents and asked businesses to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity around their forecourts.

The first incident was on Wednesday, November 2 at 09:46 when a white pick-up, registration number BE18 KSK went to the VVS Service Station in Alcester Road, Beoley. A female described as white, aged 25-30, wearing a grey hoody and jacket, went to pump two and filled up with £65.20 of unleaded fuel and drove off without offering any payment.

On Friday, November 4, at 17:00 a dark-coloured, vehicle possibly a BMW (WN22 OBG) drove onto the Morrisons petrol station at Clearwell Road in Redditch, was filled with £76.67-worth of fuel then drove off without offering any payment.

Also on Friday, November 4 but later – at 18:05 – a White Kia (K3 SLX) went to the Tesco forecourt on Coldfield Drive, Redditch, stopped at pump one and was filled with £20-worth of diesel. The driver was a white female, in her early 30s, approximately 5’3” or 5’4”, with ginger hair, wearing a padded coat with a fur hood (black). Nobody else was with her and she left without offering any payment.

Later on November 4, at 20:20, a silver Hyundai (YL09 LHN) visited Morrisons in Redditch, stopped at pump five, the driver filled the vehicle up with £116.34-worth of diesel, got back into the car and left the site without offering any payment.
