Gulf’s ‘Oomph’ loyalty scheme has seen a lucky customer win a holiday to Reykjavik.
The two-day Icelandic trip was won by Adrian Dajavs, a plumber and regular customer at Newington Garage Services in Shropshire who was chosen at random after entering Gulf’s national prize draw.
The forecourt has been run by the same family since 1984, with site manager Sue Phillips saying six of her customers have won an Oomph prize since her site joined the scheme, though Dajavs is the first top-prize winner.
“We’ve had five or six winners over the years, but the Iceland holiday is the biggest prize yet,” Phillips says. “Every time someone wins, we put posters up saying, ‘Winner at this store’. People see that and it encourages them to scan their points and choose us.”
Commenting on the announcement, Certas Energy’s regional business manager Nicola McKeown says: “We’re delighted to see one of Newington Garage Services’ regular customers win such a fantastic prize.”
