Forecourt operator and Spar wholesaler James Hall & Co has submitted a planning application to extend the shop at a filling station in Keswick, Cumbria.
The firm wants expand the site’s shop to create a new stockroom, demolishing the current storeroom, which is located in a building separate from the main retail space.
New hardstanding will be installed for tanker deliveries and fresh asphalt will be laid for customer parking bays, while a pair of disabled spaces will also be added.
The development originally included a refreshed forecourt layout and new jet wash, but these aspects were removed from the plans following neighbour objections.
Keswick Town Council has lent its support to the project, while Lake District National Park, which will ultimately decide if the changes can go ahead, is set to rule in early June.
