Top 50 Indie Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has signed a new shop supply agreement with Costcutter Supermarkets Group.
The deal will replace its existing shop agreement with Palmer and Harvey, and between now and the end of March next year, MFG will introduce the latest Costcutter imagery across its 48-forecourt network as part of a fast-moving shop refit programme.
The group’s six Connect/Wild Bean Cafe stores will also change to Costcutter.
Rebranding will start on October 29 at Swanwick Service Station in Alfreton, Derbyshire.
Tony Walker, MFG’s non fuel director, said: “Shop income is becoming increasingly more important to forecourt operators like us.
“We are investing significant sums of capital in improving the look and feel of our convenience stores and with Costcutter on board, we will be offering our customers a range of quality products, attractive prices and regular product promotions.”
Tony worked with Costcutter for more than 10 years in his previous role at Murco Petroleum. “I am very familiar with their format and fully recognise the additional benefits it can bring to our business,” he added.
Angela Barber, trading director for Costcutter, said: “Motor Fuel Group is a very well respected fuel business with a strong shop offer and I am delighted that they have chosen Costcutter to supply their forecourt stores.
“This new partnership further enhances our fuel retail portfolio, with over 300 forecourt operators across the UK selecting Costcutter for their non-fuel retail operations.”
