Top 50 Indie MFG, which operates over 1,200 UK forecourts, is seeking planning permission to significantly extend a site in Southampton, Hampshire.
If the plans are approved by Southampton City Council, the Hampton Park site will gain a 1,200sq ft shop extension, with new food-to-go offerings provided by two different in-store concessions.
Local residents have lodged a number of objections to the plans, citing concerns over noise and light pollution, and increased traffic volumes that the extension is perceived to bring to the 24-hour site.
Southampton City Council’s planning officers support the application, however, with the authority set to make a ruling imminently.
An EV charging hub featuring three units capable of charging six cars was included in the initial planning application, but was subsequently withdrawn.
