A new-to-sector filling station has been opened by EG On The Move in Newcastle as the firm continues to expand. The Cobalt Park site sits to the north-west of the city close to Cobalt Business Park and operates on a 24-hour basis.
A planning application to develop the site into a filling station was submitted in 2021 to North Tyneside Council by BP, with permission granted the following year. EG On The Move appears to have taken the project over in the interim.
The 24-hour forecourt features pump islands facing a Spar shop, complete with in-store Delice de France bakery. Eight EV chargepoints set to be installed towards the end of September.
A separate Starbucks drive through rounds off the development.
