It is reasonable to expect the new hub to have queues while the offer is running

Chargepoint operator Raw has opened a 12-bay 150kW ultra-rapid hub at the Etruria Mills retail park, close to the centre of Stoke in Staffordshire.

And to attract motorists it is offering free charging in its first week of operation from September 19 to 26, at what it says is the largest and most powerful hub in the area.

Those waiting for their cars to recharge can while away the time by visiting the Nando’s, Wagamama or Costa the park also plays host to.

The project was undertaken by Raw in partnership with local authorities, private partners and energy companies. Raw’s chief commercial officer, Neil Broadbank, says: “Initiatives like the Etruria Mills charging hub are vital in supporting drivers and reducing environmental impact across the UK”.
