Top 50 Indie Park Garage Group, which operates 77 forecourts across the UK, is continuing to replace Greggs concessions with its in-house Bakery 79 concept, and is opening its 14th outlet in Kent this week.
The new Bakery 79 opens on Thursday in the village of Bearsted, with Park marking the occasion by offering free coffee until Sunday, November 23. The firm is also giving away a free sausage roll when customers spend £3 or more, plus a free cake with every bake purchased.
Bakery 79 is headed up by Park Garage Group’s Manoj and Hemant Tandon, the company’s finance and technology, and operations directors respectively, who are also third-generation members of the family-run firm.
Baked goods have a long history at Park, with Bakery 79 named after the year when the Tandon family’s grandparents established their business.
Manoj Tandon commented: “Good food and a warm welcome have always been at the heart of our family. My grandparents built this business on the belief that even a quick stop should feel personal. Bringing Bakery 79 to Kent is incredibly special for us, and offering free coffee all day felt like the perfect way to meet the community.”
