Officers from West Yorkshire Police are appealing to members of the public for information following a robbery at a filling station that left a staff member needing medical attention.
The incident took place on Sunday morning at around 7:30am at the Esso filling station on Halifax Road in Shelf, and saw four masked men pull up at the forecourt in a black Volkswagen estate. Three of the men entered the shop and one attacked a staff member, pushing him in to an office while the other two stole the site’s tills. The attack left the worker with facial injuries.
Police say the men, who are described only as “wearing dark-coloured clothing, masks and face coverings”, then made off in the direction of Halifax.
