A filling station in Elgin, Moray, that recently underwent an extensive renovation project which saw a large beer cave and a separate 800sq ft soft-drinks cave installed, is having to construct more parking spaces due to the site’s popularity.
The New Elgin filling station recently underwent a £500,000 renovation that saw the drinks caves installed, but this led to significant parking difficulties, according to the Press and Journal.
To remedy this, the site’s owners have knocked down a bungalow that used to sit to the rear of the site and was said to have been in a “dilapidated” state. In its place will be constructed parking for 11 cars, including provision for drivers with disabilities.
Two jet washes are also planned for the site, along with an air/water unit and laundrette machines, while a new entrance for the forecourt shop will be created to give direct access to customers parking in the new car park.
