The fallout from the implosion of the Prax brand continues to rumble on, with Jet announcing all Gill Marsh Forecourts have switched over to the US-owned fuel brand.
Prax Group went into administration in June 2025, taking with it the now-defunct Lindsey oil refinery, and bringing significant complications for independent forecourt operators who relied on the firm for their fuel supply.
Gill Marsh’s three Lincolnshire forecourts previously traded under Total Energies canopies, with Harvest, which was owned by Prax, having the UK rights to that brand. Now, all of the sites have secured both a fresh fuel supplier, and sleek new canopy, pump and pole-sign branding.
Tom Dant, Gill Marsh’s managing director, says Jet was the first supplier to contact his firm after Prax’s liquidation was announced, with a meeting between the two companies arranged the very next day. “It went smoothly and there was no reason to go elsewhere,” he explains.
The switchover of the three sites – Ulceby Cross, Bilsby, and Partney Filling Stations – was completed in April 2026. Martin Smith, regional account manager with Jet, says the deal embodies “exactly the kind of relationship-led growth” his firm is focussed on, adding that his team “worked closely with Tom and kept the process straightforward at a time when the business needed clarity and support”.
