Police are appealing for information following an attempted robbery at an MFG/Morrisons filling station in Illingworth, a village on the outskirts of Halifax, West Yorkshire.
Two would-be thieves entered the forecourt shop at around 7am on Friday 2 January and demanded money from the till, but this was declined, and they left empty handed.
Police were called shortly afterwards and crime-scene investigation officers arrived on site, cordoning off the forecourt for a period of the morning.
West Yorkshire Police says enquiries are “ongoing”, and that anyone with information should contact them via 101, or online.
