Nestlé Confectionery is launching its Animal Bar in an impulse format after a successful trial earlier this year. The launch, on November 1, is said to be in response to increasing consumer demand for small portions. And according to IRI data, Animal Bar in an impulse format has helped the brand grow by 35% year-to-date.

The milk chocolate bars have two animal designs moulded in their surface. There are six different animals in the range: lion, monkey, parrot, leopard, zebra and snake.

Graham Walker, Nestlé UK trade communications manager, says: "Animal Bar is a trusted and loved brand. Couple that with the popularity of singles, a price point of only 25p, and retailers have something to go ’wild’ about."
