Mondelez International is introducing new 50p promotional price-marked packs (PMPs) on its best-selling countlines.
The new 50p (RRP) promotional PMPs will be launched from the end of March on countline packs of Cadbury Twirl, Cadbury Wispa, Cadbury Crunchie, Cadbury Boost, Cadbury Double Decker and Cadbury Dairy Milk.
The promotion aims to help retailers drive rate of sale on chocolate singles, which is worth 53% of the total chocolate category in independents and symbols.
Research suggests that price-marked packs are helping to make consumers hunt for value easier, with one third of shoppers describing clarity and transparency as the major benefit, while independent retailers agree that PMPs sell faster than standard packs and can be used to save time pricing in store.
Ashleigh Roberts, brand manager for chocolate singles at Mondelēz International, said: “Price-marked packs help to give shoppers the reassurance of clear pricing in store. With Cadbury brands leading the chocolate singles category with 29.6% share, our products are a consumer favourite.
“The SKUs included in this promotion are among our best-sellers which will give retailers an even bigger opportunity to drive chocolate sales in-store.”
