Coca-Cola Enterprises Ltd (CCE) is introducing a new variant to the Fanta brand to help retailers capitalise on the growing popularity of special edition flavours.

Replacing Fanta Peach and Apricot, the new Apple and Sour Cherry variant will join the range this month.

The launch will be supported by sampling, POS and a supporting outdoor media campaign. The introduction of the new flavour will also be backed by a social media ‘share & win’ initiative targeting potential shoppers.

Caroline Cater, operational marketing director at CCE, said: “Fanta continues to be an extremely popular brand with both mums and teenagers, growing year-on-year. We remain committed to helping retailers to drive sales with new products that appeal to shoppers and Fanta Apple and Sour Cherry scored extremely well in consumer research.

“As we continue to rotate the Fanta flavours, bringing innovation to the market, we will also support our customers with impactful in-store and social media campaigns to drive both footfall and sales.”

The new Fanta Apple and Sour Cherry will be available in a variety of pack formats including 330ml (59p price marked pack) and 6 x 330ml cans, as well as 500ml (£1 PMP also available) and 2 litre PET bottles.
