Pot Noodle is bringing back its Pot Rice range after 15 years, supported by a £1m marketing investment and a dedicated #BringBackPotRice social media campaign this summer.

The Pot Rice range comprises Vegetable Curry, Chicken Teriyaki and Chicken Risotto variants.

Each variant uses quality and sustainably sourced ingredients, and comes in a pack based on the Pot Noodle brand, making the range instantly recognisable.

The launch follows Unilever’s expansion into pasta last year with its Pot Pasta range.

Andre Burger, vice president for Foods at Unilever UK, said: “Mealtimes have very much evolved from the traditional sit-down dinner. We know lifestyles are busier than ever and eating habits are becoming more fragmented due to shifts in culture, demographics, who we live with and how we spend our time and this is reflective of the growing demand for convenient hot snacks.

“Consumers are also looking for variety, so we are bringing back the Pot Rice range with new and improved recipes to please our loyal fans who have taken to social media to campaign for its return, after a 15-year hiatus. We expect the launch will further enable retailers to capitalise on the fast-growing instant hot snack category.

Pot Rice Vegetable Curry (87g), Chicken Teriyaki (81g) and Chicken Risotto (75g) have an RRP £1.39, with a suggested promotional price of £1.
